The Three Belles’ are returning to Cornwall

The Three Belles’ are returning to Cornwall for an extra special performance this year!

The Andrews Sisters style vocal trio met at the University of Portsmouth and formed in their final year in 2011. Since graduating they have turned singing close harmonies and donning their victory rolls into a full time job! When they weren’t busy singing on stage, The Three Belles spent the most of 2012 working on a script with their author friend and ex ‘The Bill’ script writer Matt Wingett.

The Three Belles have been touring in Cornwall for two years performing at different events all along the south coast. The girls produced their interactive 1940s experience night, IN THE MOOD at the Portsmouth Guildhall and the St Ives Guildhall, Cornwall, where it SOLD OUT! They also took their theatre show, SING SING SING to the and The Stag, Sevenoaks and more recently to New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth where it too SOLD OUT!  They are very excited to bring their brand new show to Penzance.

Mixing monologues, letters and humorous sketches with toe-tapping wartime swing numbers, The Three Belles create a vibrant celebration of the lives of people whose determination, grit and humour took them through the dark years of World War Two to eventual triumph. At this exciting new event you will;

…find out how the privileged Betty takes it upon herself to “keep the British end up” by giving hilarious educational talks that highlight both the absurdity and deadly seriousness of life on the Home Front.

…listen in on the love letters exchanged between newly-wed Dorothy and her husband Johnny.
…experience the highs and lows of Gail’s search for love in a time of war, in which she struggles to escape her working class roots and find the man that’s right for her.
…laugh out loud at the gags of Max Miller.
…tap your toes to the swingin’ tunes of The Bevin Boys and The Three Belles.

If you wish, you are invited to enter into the spirit of the show and wear wartime / vintage clothing – or you can simply enjoy a fantastic night out in modern day clothing if that suits you better!

“However you come, be sure of one thing – you’ll have a great night out!”

If you want to see The Three Belles as you have never seen them before head down to ‘Sing Sing Sing’ at The Acorn, Penzance, Cornwall. Performance at 7.30pm. Tickets are £15 (£13 concessions) available from 01726 879500 or www.crbo.co.uk, www.seetickets.com, www.eventim.co.uk.
