Five Fun Things This February Half Term in Cornwall
I am almost too scared to say it, but the sun is actually out, and it's half term. Of course this might be short lived - we've had rain and wind and mizzle and fog galore of late. In little Cardinham it's rained every day since the start of the year! But come rain or shine there is always something to enjoy in Cornwall this half term. Here are just five...
Just for this half term week the sanctuary welcomes visitors to see these majestic birds in flight. And it's not just birds, they are passionate about other wildlife too, their resident fox is a beauty. It's a lovely day out, just outside Indian Queens.
If the rain does persist then this is a great option, near Wadebridge and Padstow the centre has over 100 bouldering problems you can try, suitable for beginners or the experienced.
I've mentioned Eden a few times on here, but never the sky wire that crosses above. For the brave and the slightly crazy, you can plunge across the biomes just like James Bond.
Hit the Beach
It may sound a little obvious, but there is still free parking at lots of Cornish beaches in February. Wrap up warm and enjoy a family treat that costs nothing. Of course if you do fancy a something more challenging then there are plenty of water-based activities that you can get involved in - from SUP, surfing or kayaking. The Camel Ski School is one of the many great activity centres we have, encouraging safe adventures on the water (and often in it).
We are really well served when it comes to stunning gardens in Cornwall, and proof that Spring is just round the corner, the magnolias are starting to bloom. The beauty of Trebah is that some of their Magnolias are over a hundred years old - and there's a beach at the bottom! What could be better than a walk through a garden beginning to bloom with the waters lapping the shore at the end of it.
And that doesn't scratch the surface!
